Description: Multi-phase mixture flows are widely seen in many industrial processes. A common example is the oil/water/gas flow in the oil and gas industry where oil production often involves mixture flows of the three phases. On-line continuous measurement of a multi-phase flow, in particular, the velocities and fractions of individual phases, is highly desirable for metrological and process control purposes. There have been many attempts to use complex and expensive sensing systems with sophisticated signal processing techniques in the past two decades.
Eligibility:
-Open to all applicants
-Excellent student with a strong first degree or Masters degree in electrical/electronic/electromechanical engineering or related areas relevant to the PhD topic. Experience in flow measurement and instrumentation is desirable.
